Finding the right U.S. school for a student athlete is a daunting and time consuming task. Total Baseball’s College Guidance program was a prudent use of both our time and money. Brian Hanes’ unsurpassed baseball knowledge, and clear understanding of the complex nature of college recruiting in North America, helped us to stay focused on our objective. As well his seasoned insights and strategic advice and counsel were instrumental in securing the right U.S. College fit for our son’s academic and athletic aspirations. Total Baseball’s College Guidance Program provided us with the knowledge to understand the recruiting process, eligibility, academic standards and available opportunities for U.S. schools. After a very thorough evaluation of our son’s academic and athletic qualifications as well as career and athletic aspirations, Brian Hanes worked very closely with our family to develop a list of suggested colleges. We were able to avoid recruiting mistakes often made. My son has now received early acceptance for the fall of 2007 and will be playing NCAA Baseball at one of the United States premiere academic institutions. Thank you Total Baseball for being instrumental in our son’s exciting and most promising future. Dr. Mark Zivot, parent of Fall of 2007 NCAA player Harrison Zivot, Claremont-Mudd-Scripts Colleges, Claremont, California.
Our son was a student of Total Baseball for the last 5 years in the Total Pitcher and the Total Hitter fall and spring camps. There is no doubt in our minds that these camps were an integral part of his development as a player and a person. The intense and focused training provided him with the necessary skills and tools to become the person and the player he is today. Further to that, Brian Hanes and the Total Baseball College Guidance Program were crucial in helping us navigate the myriad of post-secondary institutions. With meticulous counseling and research we were able to find a select group of institutions that fit our son’s athletic and academic needs and aspirations. As such our son is currently enrolled at Walla Walla Community College in Walla Walla Washington where he is working toward a transfer degree in Mechanical Engineering, as well as playing for the Walla Walla Warriors Baseball Club. Thank you Total Baseball and Brian Hanes for all of your tireless efforts and continuous support. As we started the process of looking for opportunities for our son to play College Baseball, there was a mountain of information that provided us with more questions than answers. Total Baseball’s College Guidance Program, under the direction of Brian Hanes, gave us the answers and clarity we needed in order to make an informed decision about the athletic and academic future of our son. The process was simple but thorough, and enabled us to sift through the hundreds of schools available to the few that fit the profile that our son decided was most important for him and his future. Brian’s leadershipand guidance were instrumental in the final decision and resulted in our son making the baseball team at a NCAA Division II school. Our son benefited from two years of services provided by Coach Brian Hanes of Total Baseball from 2006 to 2008. First was the one on one pitching clinic on a regular basis. Coach Hanes immediately corrected our son’s mechanics and dramatically increased his pitching speed. The before and after pitching exercises for strength and endurance, and the instruction on proper care of the pitching arm, were especially valuable, especially during the off-season. Coach Hanes also encouraged our son to keep working on and improving his pitching skills. Second was the College Guidance Program. Coach Hanes is adept at assessing a player’s prospects for post secondary ball and then matching the player with a short list of colleges or universities where the player might play and develop as am athlete-scholar. Coach Hanes guided our son’s preparation with a profile to contact coaches with and wrote a letter of recommendation. Coach Hanes then produced a video, showcasing our son’s strengths and potential as a pitcher. Throughout, Coach Hanes has motivated our son to strive to realize his dream. I heartily recommend Coach Hanes and Total Baseball to pitchers and parents. Bob Lentz, Parent of player Adam Lentz.Waterloo University
